Palo Verde is a huge complex of orange grad student apartment buildings that are exactly the same. Christo and Jean-Claude should totally wrap it. That would be way more meta than anything they could do in New York.
Hell, you're right. What color? Should it coordinate with the orange-and-beige? Should it be a meaningfully opposing color? Maybe it should be Communist-bloc-apartment gray.
Apparently Christo and Jeanne-Claude get pretty ticked off when journalists don't get the difference between "wrapping" and "surrounding" or when they assert that Christo was born in seven non-Bulgarian countries (all of them?). We are also urged to remember that the Nazis never held a parliamentary session inside the Reichstag, which apparently means it's kosher for wrapping.
